Q. Why can’t I put my song in Content ID?

A. Content ID and other audio-fingerprinting systems are designed for songs made on exclusive beats, where the artist and producer have a confirmed agreement on ownership, rights, and royalty splits.

With leased beats, multiple artists are legally allowed to release music using the same instrumental. Because of that, it’s unethical and against the license for one artist to register their version in Content ID and claim full ownership.

When a song made on a leased beat gets uploaded to fingerprinting systems, it creates false copyright matches against other artists using the same beat. Those false matches then force the producer to step in and issue DMCA takedowns to protect everyone’s rights and clear the system. This can lead to strikes, blocked releases, or distributor penalties for the artist who uploaded it to the fingerprinting systems.

You are fully allowed to release your song commercially on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, and all major platforms. The only restriction is that you cannot register or fingerprint a song made with a leased beat. Most distributors let you opt out of Content ID for this exact reason.

This rule protects you, the producer (me), and every other artist using the beat.

Q. How soon will the beat be delivered?

A. The beat along with the license will be delivered instantly after purchase.

Q. Are there any uncleared samples in your beats?

A. No. All of my beats are 100% original or use fully cleared samples. You can safely release your song commercially on any platform without concern for copyright issues.
